WHO WE ARE

 Our Ethos

Hearts and minds matter

Within our homes, we use the PACE model to support our children and young people in building safe, trusting, and meaningful relationships. This approach helps them form emotional connections and develop a lasting sense of security.

We believe in connecting before correcting. Our team understands that children and young people thrive when they are cared for in an environment where people are genuinely interested in their well-being, take the time to understand their individual needs, and work to ensure those needs are consistently met.

Love and care are embedded into the fabric of our homes, ensuring each young person feels welcomed, safe, and comfortable in their environment.

Rise Above Care also works in close partnership with a psychologist, who provides 1:1 therapy sessions for our young people. The psychologist also analyses and oversees their documentation, ensuring that behaviours are explored through a therapeutic lens. This includes developing hypotheses and linking behaviours to past trauma and relevant psychological theories.

This collaborative, therapeutic approach also helps our staff develop the skills and understanding needed to support our young people in the most compassionate and effective way possible.
